WCF Olimpia Ring

The WCF Cat Olimpia takes place once a year and the Best Cat of WCF from the previous year is honoured at this Cat Olimpia. It is generally a WCF World Show, where the Olimpia Rings take place. The event has to be approved by the Board.
 

 

Qualification for the Olimpia Ring:

  • Place 1 - 15 adult class
  • Place 1 to 15 kittens (3-10 months)
  • Place 1 to 15 neuters
  • all cats which have already taken place 1 to 15 in the Best Cat in previous  years
  • all cats which have the title Worldchampion, Worldpremior
  • all winners (place 1 and 2) of the Master-Ring
  • -all winners (place 1 and 2) of Doubble Master rings
  • all winners (place 1 and 2) Tripple Master rings
  • all winners (place 1 to 3) of the previous Olimpia rings
     

 

Preliminary round is on Sunday morning:

The cats will be divided into the following groups:

  • all adult male cats
  • all adult female cats
  • all kittens 6 to 10 mon. male
  • all kittens 6 to 10 months female
  • all kittens 3 to 6 months male
  • all kittens 3 to 6 months female
  • all neuters male adult
  • all neuters female adult

The rings will be judged by min. 3 WCF All-Breed judges together, according to the WCF ring rules.

A steward presents the respective cat on a table, so that the judges can examine the cat. The judges are not allowed to make agreements among themselves. The judging is anonymous.

 Only the first 10 places are awarded in the Olimpia rings.

 

Distribution of points for placement:

The cat with the lowest number of points will be the winner.

  • 1st place: 1 point
  • 2nd place: 2 points
  • 3rd place: 3 points
  • 4th place: 4 points
  • 5th place: 5 points
  • 6 th place, etc .........
  • 10th place: 10 points

The 10 cats with the lowest scores remain in the ring. All judges will now choose the best 5 cats out of the 10. 

The points of all 3 judges will be added and the cat with the lowest score will win the ring, followed by the other scores up to 5th place. The places 1 to 5 have thus qualified for the semifinals on Sunday.

 

 

Semifinals on Sunday at noon:

Again min. 3 WCF All-Breed judges will be appointed, who will judge the Olimpia Semifinal rings together.

Semifinals Olimpia Ring Adults:

  • Male place 1 to 5
  • Female place 1 to 5
  • Semifinals Olimpia Ring Kittens 6 to 10 Mon
  • Male place 1 to 5
  • Female place 1 to 5

Semifinals Olimpia Ring Kitten

  • Male place 1 to 5
  • Female place 1 to 5

Semifinals Olimpia Ring Kitten

  • Male place 1 to 5
  • Female place 1 to 5

Semifinals Olimpia Ring Neuters

  • Male place 1 to 5
  • Female place 1 to 5

The points are distributed as already described above. Only places 1 to 3 from all categories qualify for the Olimpia Final Ring. 

 

 

Olimpia Final Ring on Sunday after the Semifinals:

In the final ring all cats together of the places 1 to 3 from the semifinals take part. 

  • Adults place 1 to 3
  • Kittens 3 -6 months place 1 to 3
  • Juniors 6 -10 months place 1 to 3
  • Neuters place 1 to 3

 

So there are 12 cats in the final of the WCF Olimpia Ring. Each cat will be presented on a table by a steward. At least 4 WCF All Breed judges take part in this ring. The judges are not allowed to consult each other and to make a judgement. The judging is anonymous. The distribution of points is done by each judge according to the given point distribution.

 

Distribution of points in the final:

  • 1st place = 1 point
  • 2nd place = 2 points
  • 3rd place = 3 points
  • 4th place = 4 points
  • 5th place = 5 points
  • 6th........ etc
  • 12th place = 12 points

 

The results of all judges are added up and written down on a list. The result will be announced in the Best in Show and the winners will be honoured at the beginning of the Best in Show. 

 

  • The cat with the lowest score receives the title WCF Golden Olimpic Master. 
  • The cat with the second lowest score receives the title WCF Silver Olimpic Master. 
  • The cat with the third lowest score receives the title WCF Bronze Olimpic Master.
